Christ Church Night Shelter
About Christ Church Night Shelter:
Christ Church operates a winter night shelter in Christ Church hall for adult men and women in the city and the surrounding areas who have no other accommodation. It is open 7 nights per week between the beginning of November and Easter, with a break over Christmas when there is other provision available in the city. It is the only non referral night shelter in the North West of England. We provide hot drinks and snacks, and a warm and safe place to sleep, with camp beds.
Christ Church Night Shelter relies on donations from local churches and other organisations and individuals who give us money, or collect tinned food, tea, coffee etc. The operation of the shelter depends on the kindness and generosity of volunteers who give their time to ensure that homeless people have access to warmth and shelter throughout the coldest months of the year.
How we help:
Every year, Christ Church collects donations for the Night Shelter between the months of October and March. This includes food products, as well as items of clothing and hygiene products.
At our Harvest Festival each year, we donate all the items that we have collected to the Night Shelter, to support those who are in need within our own community.
