Holiday Provision

Happy Healthy Holidays

Children and young people receiving free school meals are being invited to sign up now to enjoy free activities during the summer break with our Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF).

Funded by the Department for Education, 'Happy Healthy Holidays' provides a great opportunity for local children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals to get out and about, get active and meet new friends. The sessions include a variety of fun activities alongside a nutritious meal each day.

The programme includes specific provisions available for children with SEND or additional needs, at no cost to you.

Our Summer programme of activities is being delivered by a whole host of providers (listed below) and takes place between 24th July and 2nd September.

Paid for places are available in some of the clubs for children who are not eligible for benefits-related free school meals.

Anyone with any queries on the programme can email and someone will be in touch.

YMCA have secured funding to support local children during the summer holidays. With an exciting Summer Programme, our Y Youth team will offer a daily summer scheme for children ages  8  to 11  years old 8am-4pm Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays. It is a free Scheme with funding to support those children on free school meals, but we can be flexible if needed with spaces.

It will be a full jampacked programme including trips to the Museums, Morecambe, the Cinema and much more, alongside a host of unique opportunities by Sport and Art organisations from across Lancaster, promising to be our most exciting Summer Programme yet!

It is advised that your child wears sunscreen, brings along some water/juice, and wears suitable clothing on the days they attend as we will be doing outdoor activities.

Please see the attached form to book. Places are allocated on a first come first served basis and the days will be allocated quickly to avoid disappointment please return the completed form to the YMCA Lancaster or to the School by Monday the 18th of July.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the YMCA office 01524 32737 or by email.
