School Day events

A series of school Health Safety & Wellbeing events have been held in the lead up to the Lancaster District annual Health Festival with local school children aged five to 11 years old with the aim of sharing important messages through classroom sessions and fun outdoor activities.

The sessions for Reception to Year 6 students were organised by Lancaster Integrated Care Community (ICC) and held at Ryelands Primary and Nursery School, Willow Lane Primary School, the Cathedral Catholic Primary School and Christ Church Primary School.

Sarah Baines, Development Lead for Lancaster ICC, said: “We wanted to share key health wellbeing and safety messages with pupils in a safe and reliable way. We have looked at what are healthybehaviours around physical activities, diet and food, and mental health and wellbeing.
