A Jesse Tree is a way of preparing for advent by journeying through the stories on Jesus’ family tree. Each day during Advent, we read a Bible story and added an ornament onto our Jesse tree, which symbolised the story.

As we decorated the tree, we saw how God prepared for Jesus’ birth through many generations.

We used the book 'A Jesse Tree for Advent' by Rachel Nicholls to structure our Collective Worship during the Advent period, and as a basis for our Christmas Celebration at the end of term.
