Homework
We believe that homework should be meaningful and purposeful for our children which is why we have adopted project style homework tasks this year. Each class will receive a project homework either relating to the current theme or topic or a specific curriculum focus. We are encouraging children to take more ownership over the presentation of this homework and to share their projects with other classes across school. Younger children will have weekly or fortnightly themed projects whereas older children may have a longer project to be developed over 3 or 4 weeks.

We are also working hard to promote reading for pleasure and are encouraging reading each day for at least 20 mins. Please initial any independent reading and comment on your child's reading in their reading logs to let us know how they are responding to their school reading books and other texts shared at home. We are celebrating and sharing home reading and would love to hear about children's reading experiences at home.
