Safeguarding

Christ Church is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child's welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child's welfare.

All adults in our school recognise that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility irrespective of the role they undertake or whether their role has direct contact or responsibility for children or not.

Designated Safeguarding Leads

The Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs) at Christ Church are:

Miss Emma Simpson

(Designated Safeguarding Lead)

Mrs Nicole Davison

(Deputy Designated Safeguarding lead)

The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding in our school is:

Miss K Tranter

Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) is statutory guidance that schools and colleges in England must have regard to when carrying out their duties to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
